THE BIG BLOCK, 4 SPEED, CONVERTIBLE, SIDE PIPE, 69 VETTE, IS A RARE CAR!!
Up for sale is my 1969 Corvette. It is extremely clean... the underside is detailed correctly. The engine bay is detailed and correctly. The car is a factory side piped car and has the factory side exhaust chrome covers. It is an original Daytona Yellow car with black leather interior. This is a low 61K orig miles Vette. ( I personally drilled out and removed the original rotors to replace them when I completely went through the brake system, so the car had many original low mile car features.)
The wiper door, headlight door (vacuum systems), power steering all redone. The clutch is new. Thoroughly rebuilt carb. The cooling system has been thoroughly gone through. This car is the coolest running big block you ever saw. It runs 155-160 degrees. The clutch is brand new. Completely new brake and emergency brake systems... AND MORE! There are over 15K in recent restoration and mechanicals, with all receipts to prove it. There are NO costly things to pass on. You can DRIVE... and actually ENJOY this car. It is a sound car. There are NO KNOWN issues of any kind.
Unlike so many cars offered that have doctored paper work... falsely stamped numbers.. fake tank stickers... sought after matching parts that you buy in catalogues and from dealers...Here is a car that is what it is.... a Big Block Vette with all the fun features you want.. for MUCH less than a numbers matching car. these were high peformance cars...People DROVE their cars and PARTS WERE REPLACED!!! This car is an honest, no claims made car, that will make ANY owner proud. Either at a car show... or on the streets. Do you want to enjoy your car? OR do you want to just stare at it in the garage?
Numbers matching BULL CRAP is great if you want an NCRS trailer queen.... and TRULY want to spend double or even triple for the exact same car.... just because it may or may not be a legitimate numbers matching car. THIS makes little sense.... especially in an age of fraudulant stamping of numbers... and forging of documents. Even a documented.. tank stickered car could be fake... as there are actually more big blocks now.... then were actually made..... AND MANY HAVE BEEN JUDGED BY TOP ORGANIZATIONS... AND THEY ARE IMPOSTERS.
REMEMBER... NO RECORDS WERE KEPT ON BUILDS UNTIL ABOUT 1972. AND SO MUCH OUT THERE IS FALSELY DOCUMENTED.. ASK ANY SERIOUS VETTE PERSON... LIKE AN NCRS JUDGE. I DID.
If you want to spend a lot more... and only stare at your car in the garage... Then this car is NOT for you. IF ON THE OTHER HAD.. YOU WANT TO RUN THROUGH THE GEARS... SPIN THE TIRES.. AND HAVE FUN... WITH A GREAT CAR.... AT A GREAT PRICE.. THEN THIS CAR IS FOR YOU!
What's the difference between a numbers matching super clean 69 big block convertible 4 speed Vette with side pipes and a NOM super clean 69 big block convertible 4 speed Vette with side pipes? .... NOTHING.. just the price! It didn't stop being what it is.... .. and that is a big block Vette that is coupled with a 4 speed... that has side pipes... AND is a convertible.
NOTE The transmission is numbers matching. The block MAY be a dealer replacement.... as it's a few months past build date, but stamped to vin match on the stamp pad... there is no reason to stamp the vin pad with the correct vin number.... and then not match the build date by a few months... you fool no one..... so Corvette people in the know state that a reasonable assumption is that it likely was a factory replacement. OR.. one Vette person stated that due to the frequent strikes during that period, it could be correct... IT IS THE CORRECT BLOCK....but without documentation.. I make no claims and offer it as it is. You will have NO regrets.. and it will NOT disappoint. I didn't buy it to look at.. I bought it to drive. It took two years to find it.. and 6 months to make it RIGHT.
NOT perfect.. but an 8 or better on a scale of 1-10.
It has the original side pipe covers, these are VERY expensive items. They show some wear but look very nice. They are driver quality. The interior is not new but very clean and very presentable. It is leather. The top is recent and looks very nice. The paint has a few small touched up chips, but the paint is BEAUTIFUL.. and smooth as silk... and color sanded very well. The tires are also recent and show well. The car runs LIKE A CORVETTE IN 69 SHOULD.. is powerful and sounds amazing. It is an extremely nice driver that feels tight and runs strong. Turn key fun. I am NOT a dealer.. I am anal when it comes to my cars and my integrity. I have tried to accurately describe my Vette.. any reasonable questions will be answered as knowingly as I can... I did NOT own it since new. It IS a sweet car. Send a representative to see it.
www.NADA.com SAYS 47,500-61K.
FAIRLY PRICED AT 47,500 OBO... priced at the lowest end of the scale. An extremely reasonable price for so much car. PRICE REDUCED FROM 52,500... TRY AND FIND A 69 BIG BLOCK, 4 SPEED, CONVERTIBLE WITH SIDE PIPES..NUMBERS MATCHING OR NOT.. THE OTHERS ARE MUCH, MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.... AND NOT AS CLEAN! MUST SEE!!!
If there was documentation... FAKE OR OTHERWISE... you would have to add 40% to the price.
